Central is “Agency of the Year” on IPRN

Central de Informação was elected “Agency of the Year 2021” by the International Public Relations Network (IPRN). The award ceremony took place at the network’s Annual Convention Gala Dinner, which took place in Lisbon and which for four days brought together PR agencies from all over the world. The award was presented by Pedro Valente da Silva, director of the Representation of the European Parliament in Portugal. Central also won the award for “Video of the Year”, with the official film developed for Coimbra’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2027.

 

IPRN is currently the world’s largest organization of independent PR agencies. With more than 40 members and a presence on four continents, it was founded in 1995, and is present in 105 cities and 40 countries worldwide, covering more than 80 markets, including North and South America, Western and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Far East and Australia. It also represents all sectors of the industry. The organization represents an accumulated invoicing volume of around 500 million dollars, having more than 7,000 employees distributed among the various agencies and a total of 4,000 active clients.

 

This year’s Annual Convention celebrated the network’s 25th anniversary and had on the panel of speakers names such as Leonor Dias, Vodafone Portugal’s Brand and Marketing Director, António Costa, head of the Kaizen Institute in Portugal, Spain, France and the United Kingdom – consultant who supported the Task Force in the vaccination process in Portugal –, Viton Araújo, Creative Director of FCB Lisbon, among others. The event took place at the Iberostar Selection, between 22 and 26 October 2021, and had the institutional support of the Lisbon City Council and sponsored by Lisboa Tourism, Hyundai, Symington, Imperial and Iberostar.
